HURRICANE FLORENCE PREPARATION

Please read this message in its entirety and make sure you take action as needed.

As I hope you are aware, it is likely that a major Hurricane will make landfall on the NC coast later this week.  The current forecast could put the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area in line for high winds and lots and lots of rain.  We want to plan for the worst and hope for the best!!

We ask that you do ALL of the following before the storm:

  • Follow the local news stations and keep track of how this storm will impact us.
  • Prepare NOW!  Please make sure you and your family have all the emergency items and supplies you need to go several days to a week without power.  Many of the local news outlets have great links that will help you make the best of what you buy.  DO NOT WAIT…start now!
  • Walk around the outside of your home and secure any loose items such as patio furniture, toys, etc that could become flying debris during the height of the storm.

During and after the storm:

  • Please stay inside and be smart and safe.
  • Report any storm damage to our office.  Please see information below on how best to handle this.
  • DO NOT call us to tell us your power is out…we cannot fix it and you will not be the only person without power.
  • If you have a life threatening situation, please call 911.

Allenton Management’s Emergency Mode:

  • When necessary we will enter our emergency mode.
  • Please ONLY call the office and leave a message if you have storm related property damage.  Please be aware that during the storm, we will likely not be able to get someone out to make repairs or help you as it will not be safe to be out and about.
  • All other issues/concerns can be emailed to us at info@allenton.com.
    • If you have lower priority storm damage such a trees down in your yard but NOT on your home, this can be emailed to us.
    • Please be aware and understand that other non-storm related maintenance issues will be dealt with as soon as possible but could take a week or more as we will prioritize storm related issues first.

We appreciate your attention, cooperation and patience as we all weather this storm together.
