Arnold is a Durham native, graduated from Durham High School in 1970 and attended East Carolina University. Arnold formed Allenton Management in 1989, after 17 years of working in the property management business for his former employer Allenton Realty and Insurance Company. Arnold has a North Carolina real estate brokers license and is the broker-in-charge at Allenton.
Arnold and his wife Diane, who is also a Durham native, have two children. He is past president of the Durham Association of Realtors and has received their Distinguished Service Award and was named Realtor of the Year in 1982. Arnold is past chairman of the North Carolina Association of Realtors (NCAR) Property Management Division and past chairman of the NCAR Legislative Committee. He received the Regions 4 Service Award from NCAR in 1989. Arnold is also past president of North Carolina Chapter 56 of the Institute of Real Estate Management and earned the Certified Property Manager designation in 1978.
Arnold served as a member of the Durham Public Schools Board of Education for ten years and is past treasurer of the Durham Public Schools Scholarship Foundation. He and his wife continue to be active in their support of the athletic and performing arts programs in the Durham Public Schools. Arnold is a member of UNC Educational Foundation and loves the Tarheels. He plays golf and is a big NASCAR and Durham Bulls fan. Arnold has volunteered for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association for over 20 years and currently assists with state championships in golf, football and basketball.
Arnold is President of Allenton Management and his responsibilities include oversight of the homeowner association and commercial management areas.
Heather is a native of Durham and graduated from Riverside High School in 1997. She attended Meredith College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2001 and then went on to earn her Master of Arts in College Student Development in 2003 from Appalachian State University. After graduate school Heather worked at East Carolina University and Middle Tennessee State University in Higher Education Administration where she enjoyed working with college students in various roles. In January 2013, Heather and her family moved back to Durham and Heather joined the family business at Allenton. Heather is a licensed real estate agent through the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Heather is also a notary public.
In her spare time Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, family, and friends. Heather is involved with the Durham Public Schools and has served as a member of the Easley Elementary School Improvement Team and PTA and is a member of the Durham Association of Realtors, North Carolina Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors.
In Heather's role as Vice President she serve in many capacities including working with owners and tenants, preparing leases and management agreements and assisting with the homeowners associations. Heather also oversees the day to day operations of the office.
Gerry is a native of Granville County, North Carolina, but has made his home in Durham for over 30 years. He is a 1970 graduate of J.F. Webb High School. Gerry is a former employee of the City of Durham and came to work for Allenton in 1977. Gerry is a very dedicated employee and is about to celebrate his 37th anniversary with the Allenton family. Gerry is a member of the Durham Association of Realtors, the North Carolina Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors and holds a North Carolina real estate salesman license. Gerry is also a notary public.
Gerry and his wife Jackie have one son. Gerry enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Gerry is an accomplished pig-pickin cook and helps with church and family functions.
Gerry is a leasing agent and his duties include leasing, coordinating maintenance, working with sub-contractors and with property owners and overseeing all court proceedings and lien filings.
Mark is a native of Durham. He graduated from Riverside High School in 2008 before attending North Carolina State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management in 2013. Mark holds a North Carolina Real Estate Brokers License.
Mark enjoys spending time with friends, staying physically fit, and cheering on his favorite football and basketball teams.
Marks primary responsibilities include leasing, coordinating maintenance, and checking vacancies.
Kyle is a native of Durham. He graduated from Riverside High School in 2009 before attending North Carolina State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management in 2015.
Kyle enjoys spending his free time with this family and his rescue dog Buttons, cycling, and playing a variety of sports. Kyle is also a member of the Chapel Hill and Raleigh Lacrosse Clubs.
Kyle's primary responsibilities include leasing, coordinating maintenance, and checking vacancies
David's responsibilities include working with our agents and staff to coordinate projects on an as needed basis.
Sandy is a native of Durham and is a 1977 graduate of Northern High School. She is the former owner of Sandy's School of Dance. She came to work at Allenton in 1987.
Sandy and her husband Mark have two sons and a dog, Zeek. Sandy is active in her church and spends all of her free time with her family. She enjoys Duke basketball and is an avid shopper.
Sandy is the account payable/receivable clerk and is responsible for paying all the bills, posting rent & dues, taking maintenance calls and appointment scheduling for the leasing agents.
Marla is a native of Durham. She graduated from Northern High School in 1976 and Hardbarger Business College in 1977 where she was enrolled in a secretarial program. Marla is retired from Verizon Communications after almost 34 years. She started in the clerical/secretarial field, then moved to administrative/analyst positions. For the last 5 years she has worked at Robinson & Fairey, CPA's as an administrative assistant.
Marla and her husband Chris and have a daughter and granddaughter and a golden doodle named Macie. They are very active in their church and in her spare time she enjoys being with family, playing games, reading, and traveling.
Marla’s primary responsibilities include greeting all in person visitors to our office, handling phones calls, scheduling property showings and other administrative duties.
